Anima Das filed an FIR at the Baratola police station at Khejuri, adjacent to Nandigram.

Tamluk: A fresh FIR was lodged against arrested CPI-M MLA Sushanta Ghosh and former party MP Lakshman Seth and 66 others today by the wife of a Trinamool Congress supporter, who is missing for the past 10 years.

Anima Das filed an FIR at the Baratola police station at Khejuri, adjacent to Nandigram, claiming that the skeleton found during the earthwork for Bajkul Jaleswar Primary School on Monday was that of her husband Subrata.

She said Subrata was forcibly taken away from their home at Baratola village in 2001 by local CPI-M leader Himansu Das after political clashes and later killed.

Subrata was a Trinamool Congress worker and was taken away at the behest of Ghosh, Seth and Dipak Sarkar, a CPI-M leader of West Midnapore district, she alleged in the FIR.

A procession was taken out by locals from Khejuri to Nandigram bazar during the day. The protestors claimed that Seth, CPI-M strongman at Haldia, was involved in the killing and demanded punishment of those involved.

Ghosh is in judicial custody in Alipore Central jail in Kolkata in connection with the recovery of seven skeletons from near his ancestral house in West Midnapore.
