THOOTHUKUDI/TIRUNELVELI: AIADMK has announced T Sasikala Pushpa as its candidate for Thoothukudi Mayor post.The 36-year-old candidate, hailing from Adayal, Muthalur, is an MA graduate of Madras University. She has acquired D.B.A. degree from Southern Cross University, Singapore. Besides being the Deputy Secretary for Maanila Ilaignar Ilempengal Pasarai, she runs JJ Free IAS coaching centre at Tirunelveli and ‘Team’ IAS academy in Chennai.For Nellai Mayor post, the Party has chosen 40-year-old Vijila Sathyananth as its candidate.Born on February 2, 1971, Vijila holds an M.Sc. degree in Mathematics, apart from a B.Ed and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications She currently holds the position of general council member in the party. Vijila, the Nellai district women wing deputy secretary of the party from 2006-2010, currently runs a computer coaching institute.
