Meerut: A 40-year-old woman teacher allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling, on Wednesday, at her residence in Medical area of Meerut district, police said. According to the police, the deceased Suneeta Verma was a teacher in a junior high school and was married with two children.
Suneeta's husband Neeraj Verma found her hanging from the ceiling of one of the rooms in their house on Wednesday morning and immediately informed the police. The deceased's brother has accused Neeraj for her death, police said. Moreover, Neeraj has accused Suneeta's brother and sister-in-law of physically assaulting her, which led her to take this step.
The body has been sent for postmortem and investigations are on to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
