Muzaffarnagar riots: Two murder accused arrested

Two accused in a riot-related case in Muzaffarnagar have been arrested, police said on Friday.

Arvind and Mohit were arrested for allegedly killing a person identified as Nazim in Jauli village of the district during last year's communal violence in Muzaffarnagar, they said.

A case was registered against 11 people in this case and four persons have already been arrested.

Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the riots had found involvement of 11 persons in Nazim murder case.

Muzaffarnagar and its neighbouring districts in western Uttar Pradesh had witnessed communal riots in September last year that left over 60 people dead and thousands of people displaced.
