BANGALORE: The sleuths of Women and Narcotic Squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested a Nigerian national for allegedly trying to sell cocaine. The police have seized 114 grams of cocaine worth Rs. 6 lakh, a cash of Rs. 2,300 cash and two mobile phones from the accused.The accused has been identified as John Okho Kalu (29), a native of Logo City in Nigeria, presently residing behind Anjaneya Temple in Dodda Banasawadi. He was arrested when he was allegedly selling drugs near Saint George College in OMBR Layout fourth cross.According to the police, he had come to India in 2010 for business purposes and was staying in Mumbai. There he got in touch with other Nigerian nationals and obtained cocaine. Though his visa expired in July 2010, he did not renew it and continued to stay illegally in the country. Later, he came in contact with one, Mahama Albert, a professional drug peddler in Mumbai and the duo came to the city and were selling drugs to the youth. Albert is absconding and efforts are on to nab him, the police added.A case has been registered in Ramamurthy Nagar police station.
