KOTTAYAM: Prominent businessman Kochouseph Chittilappilly on Thursday presented his autobiography ‘Ormakilivaathil’ to the book lovers of the world. Displaying his usual humility after releasing the book, he said the credit of writing the book went to three persons, including him.The idea was first suggested three years ago by one of his staff Ravi Kumar and the work was taken up with the support of journalist Sajil Sreedhar.Describing it a joint venture project, he said he was only worth of claiming only one-third of the credit.Responding to the praises showered on him by publisher DC Books CEO Ravi Deecee and others on the dais, Chittilappilly said that he was not sure whether he was worth for the praises.Earlier welcoming the gathering, Ravi Deecee said that the book dealt with the social, economic and political condition of the state in the early 50s.He said he was happy to publish the book which would be an eye opener to the youth.Speaking after releasing the book by handing it over to film director Siddique, writer T Padmanabhan said the book would be helpful to energise the youth of the state who had become lazy. Speaking on the occasion, Siddique said that the book was not a biography of Kochouseph Chittilappilly but his impression of the state dating back to five decades.Siddique said that he stayed closed to the office of Chittilappilly and had the privilege to witness his growth which had influenced him immensely. It is a great achievement for Chittilapilly to become a successful businessman in a state like Kerala which is nothing short of wonder.
