THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dead or alive, Osama bin Laden continues to be a haunting presence. Osama who had instigated the bloodiest of terror plots has now inspired a magician in the state to come up with a special magic show. The terrorist, known for his affluence and dreaded for his monstrosity, will resurrect himself in the latest magic show of Magician Samraj. The segment titled ‘Bin Laden still alive!’ will confound what the US President Obama confirmed few months back."Obama might be certain about the death of Laden. But there are so many people who still believe that Laden is alive. If they shot him dead, why they didn’t show him to the world. This show is an attempt to clear the mystery about the death of Osama,’’ says Samraj.The segment on bin Laden will be a part of the two-hour-long magic show to be staged by Samraj. The performance will be backed by special effects and music. The real surprise would be the main character. “The show will present a man who will closely resemble the original bin Laden. That will be really magical,’’ he says. Earlier also Magician Samraj had staged a similar show based on the death of Saddam Hussain. The magic show, which aimed at disproving the claims of the US about the death of Saddam Hussain, was staged for two years. Samraj says that it was the huge success of his magic show on Saddam Hussain that has landed him on a similar venture. ‘’ While we were moving around with our show, many people came up to us and shared our feelings. They did not believe that Hussain was dead. The reports about Osama’s death are no different. If I feel that he is not dead, can someone question me?,’’ asks the magician.Already into the final stages of rehearsal, the show will be first staged either in Ernakulam or Thiruvananthapuram in August.
