The authorities made little headway in tracking down all the terrorists who fled.

Lahore: Pakistan on Wednesday night released sketches of four persons suspected to be behind the gun and grenade attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore.

But the authorities made little headway in tracking down the dozen terrorists who fled after the incident as investigators picked up about 60 people for questioning.

Fresh television footage showed three suspected armed terrorists getting into a by-lane near the Liberty Chowk where the gunmen sprayed bullets on the bus ferrying the Sri Lankan cricket team to Gaddafi Stadium.

The sketches of youths, believed to be in the age group of 20 to 25, were made on the basis of eyewitness accounts.

Investigators claimed to have uncovered "some details and important leads that would eventually unearth the people responsible" for the attack, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told reporters at a joint press conference with his Sri Lankan counterpart Rohitha Bogollagama.

Qureshi, who did not give any details, said these findings have been shared with Bogollagama.

The suspects were detained during raids by a special investigation team on hostels and guest houses in Lahore's Gulberg area, located near Liberty Chowk traffic roundabout where the bus was ambushed on Tuesday leaving seven players and an assistant coach injured and eight people dead.

Three Nigerians were detained and information provided by them led to the detention of as many Uzbeks and an Afghan national in Quetta, Dawn News channel quoted its sources as saying.
