New Delhi: Security has been tightened in all the sensitive areas of the country on Wednesday, a day before the much-anticipated verdict in the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit case. The verdict will be delivered by the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Thursday at 3.30 PM.
In Uttar Pradesh security has been tightened in and around the disputed site in Ayodhya. Searches are being carried out in Faizabad district and every person entering Ayodhya is being thoroughly checked before being allowed to enter the disputed site. Security forces also carried out flag march in Allahabad on Tuesday to ensure peace and tranquility in the region.
The government has identified 25 districts of the state as sensitive and 19 others as hypersensitive. Forces of the Provincial Armed Constabulary, CRPF, Rapid Action Force and civil police have also been deployed in several places to check any kind of communal tension in the state.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi has appealed to the people of India to maintain peace before and to accept graciously, whatever the verdict might be.
Ministry of Home Affairs had advised all the states to be on high alert after the Supreme Court on Tuesday lifted its interim stay order on the contentious Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit case verdict.

A three-judge special bench comprising of Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia, Justice Aftab Alam and Justice KS Radhakrishnan announced that the three-judge High Court bench could go ahead with the pronouncement of judgment while dismissing the special leave petition of Ramesh Chandra Tripathi that had appealed for deferment of the verdict so that an out-of-court settlement could be tried.
