New Delhi: Pakistan's tour to England has been making news for all the wrong reasons.
After facing umpire Darrell Hair's allegations over ball tampering, Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq is now the subject of taunts from England fans.
'Stop Scratching Your Balls,' was the advice written on a banner held by some home fans, who resorted to leg-pulling of the Pakistan team during Monday's Twenty20 match at Bristol, The Mirror reported.
However, the visiting captain had the last laugh as Pakistan scored a convincing five-wicket win in the match before the start of the ODI series on Tuesday.
Inzamam, however, was visibly unimpressed when he was jeered as a 'cheat' as he walk in to bat.
The ball tampering controversy had almost derailed Pakistan's tour to England after the visitors forfeited the fourth Test at The Oval.
Pakistan refused to take to the field on the fourth day of the Oval Test as Hair had penalised them for tampering with the ball and became the first team in the 130-year old history of Test cricket to forfeit a match.
That controversy also drove a wedge in the cricket establishment with many seeing Hair's action as a case of racial bias because none of the cameras put up by the broadcasters showed any evidence against the Pakistanis.
Inzamam was accused of bring the game into disrepute and changing the condition of the ball and Pakistan threatened to pull out of the tour if their skipper was punished.
However, the International Cricket Council rescheduled Inzamam's hearing, thus rescuing the tour.
