Transit of Venus

KOCHI: In a bid to ensure that all the young ones in the city can view the Transit of Venus without danger, the Breakthrough Science Society will distribute sun filters to view Venus. The phenomenon which happens just once in 125 years will be witnessed on June 6. On the day, one can see the Venus passing before the sun as a silhouette.On the occasion the Breakthrough society will release a book which will talk about this rare phenomenon. The book will be released by retired ISRO scientist C Ramachandran. The event will happen at 5 pm on Monday at the Rainbow bridge, Marine Drive.
