New Delhi: Sridevi, who is known for her films like ‘Sadma’, ‘Mr India’,’ Chandni’ and ‘Lamhe’, is back on silver screen after 15 years with Gauri Shinde’s directorial venture ‘English Vinglish’. The film revolves around a Marathi housewife Shashi Godbole (Sridevi), who takes up the challenge to learn English to please her husband and children. Apart from Sridevi, Mehdi Nebbou, Priya Anand and Adil Hussain are also in the star cast of the film. Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen in a guest appearance.
The film has been co-produced by Gauri Shinde’s husband R Balki, who has directed films like ‘Cheeni Kum’ and ‘Paa’ in past. Let’s wait and watch whether Gauri succeeds in giving a tough competition to her husband with ‘English Vinglish’ or not.
