KOCHI: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Excise Department seized 851 bottles of foreign wine at North Railway Station here on Tuesday, which was transported from Goa. The excise team arrested  Mukesh and Harikesh, who were in possession of the boxes containing wine. According to RPF sources, 851 bottles of wine were packed in the 30 boxes and were transported to Kochi by Rajadhani Express. The wine was meant to be sold in the black market of Kochi and its suburbs. The excise officials said that there was a secret information about a racket transporting alcohol from Goa, which led to the arrest. The Excise Department is quizzing the arrested persons to collect information about other people involved in the activity.
