Woman burnt alive for not meeting their dowry demands

A woman was burnt alive allegedly by her husband and in-laws for not meeting their dowry demands at Jhaberpur village in the district.

The victim's father Krishanpal has alleged that the accused doused his daughter with kerosene and set her ablaze on Thursday.

The body of the victim has been sent for postmortem and a case has been registered against her husband Nitu, father-in-law Raj Kumar and mother-in-law Sudesh, police said.
