Bangalore: In what was her fourth suicide attempt, a married woman ended her life in Old Airport police limits on Thursday because of her past failed relations.

The deceased, Chaitra (35), was a native of Mysore. She was working with a BPO in the city. She had married one Kiran Kumar, who is 10 years younger to her, on April 18, 2010.

Police said before her wedding, Chaitra was in love with three men, all of whom had dumped her. She had fallen in love with two men while she was pursuing her studies. After she started working in Bangalore in 2005, she fell for another man. Police said all the three had dumped her and she was dejected over this. However, she later fell in love with Kiran and married him.

Police said on the eve of her wedding anniversary earlier this month, Chaitra had consumed poison in a bid to end her life. However, she survived after medical treatment. On Thursday evening, she asked her husband to bring some snacks from shop. When he left the house, she ended her life by hanging from the ceiling.

Police said earlier also Chaitra had tried to end her life by slitting her veins. She had suicidal tendency and was not lucky to survive her fourth suicide attempt. Old Airport police have registered a case of unnatural death.
