On September 25, Jayam Ravi was spotted arriving at the Mumbai airport. The Ponniyin Selvan 2 star was seen wearing a graphic shirt and denim pants. The actor greeted the paparazzi at the airport.
The actor was returning from shooting for his films in Chennai. According to the paparazzi account Viral Bhayani, “The actor recently shifted his residence to Mumbai, opened his office here and is in talks with major production houses for upcoming projects.” Talking to the paparazzi, the actor shared that he is gearing up for his film Brothers on Diwali and will also be gearing up for some Hindi films.

The news came as a shock to the actor’s fans as he asked for privacy during this tough time. A few days later, his wife Aarti shared a long note on social media claiming that the divorce announcement was made without her consent and had affected their children. She also claimed that the decision to “leave the family” was taken by the actor alone and termed it as “one-sided”.
Following Jayam Ravi’s announcement, Aarti penned a long post on the same. Taking to social media on September 11, she wrote, “I am deeply shocked and saddened by the recent public announcement of our wedding, which was made without my knowledge and consent. After 18 years of history together, I feel that such an important matter should be handled with the grace, respect and privacy it deserves.”
In her post, Aarti claimed that her husband and actor Jayam Ravi refused to speak to her about their relationship and instead made the announcement public. She added, “For some time now, I have sought the opportunity to speak directly with my husband on several occasions in the hope of having an open dialogue that honours the commitment we have made to each other and our family. Unfortunately, I was not afforded that opportunity, so my children and I were completely blindsided by this announcement. The decision to walk out of our marriage is purely one-sided and does not benefit our family.”
