Billy Ray Cyrus Is 'Incredibly Proud' Of Daughter Miley Cyrus, Shares Photo

It won’t be wrong to say that Miley Cyrus once shared a very close bond with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, as was also evident in Hannah Montana. However, a shake eventually caused a major rift between the father-daughter duo after Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus’s separation in 2022. Ever since rumours are rife that Miley Cyrus and her family have been at odds for the past two years. Amid all of this, Billy Ray Cyrus is now looking back on his cherished moments with his superstar daughter.

The country singer took to Instagram and shared a framed throwback photo of himself holding a very young Miley at a CMA Fest event, formerly known as Fan Fair. Along with the picture, he also shared the story behind it and called it one of his “best memories.” Recalling that he wrote a poem while travelling on a bus, Billy Cyrus also praised his daughter, stating that he is proud of Miley for her survival journey and art.

“That’s Miley Cyrus and me, surrounded by thousands of incredible fans at the fairgrounds. The next day, someone handed me this picture, and I wrote that poem right then on the bus. I’m incredibly proud of her. She’s a survivor and a true artist. She learned early on to love and appreciate the fans who make everything possible. We both cherish the connection we have with our fans and are grateful for every single one of you! Hope you all have a great Friday! Now rock the country!!!” the post read.

While the throwback speaks volumes about the kind of relationship they shared back then, in recent years, they have been way apart. Her parents’ divorce seemingly put a major strain on Miley’s relationship with her father, thus making it hard for them to connect since then.

Recently, as Miley Cyrus secured her first-ever Grammy, the Flowers singer took to the stage and expressed gratitude to various individuals who have been a part of her journey. However, her speech missed out on the name of her father, who played a significant role during her younger days and earlier career. While Billy and Tish’s divorce has been the major reason behind the family feud, it is also rumoured that Noah Cyrus was romantically involved with Dominic Purcell before Tish married him.
