Demon Slayer Saga To Culminate With Infinity Castle Theatrical Trilogy, First Look Out
Crunchyroll has confirmed a trilogy film on Demon Slayer's Infinity Castle, set to release in theatres.

In a big surprise for anime fans, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will culminate in a historic run with a theatrical release. Following the exciting events in the season 4 finale episode, fans were eagerly anticipating the next part. However, the makers astonished everyone with the announcement of the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle film. According to the press release, Crunchyroll has acquired the theatrical rights to the film and is thus ready to bring an epic trilogy of films to cinemas.

The Infinity Castle trilogy is the final arc ending the years-long war between Demon Slayers and Demon Lord Muzan. The makers, along with Sony Pictures Entertainment, will distribute the film worldwide, excluding Asian territories including Japan. “Crunchyroll is thrilled to be able to bring this trilogy of films to fans on the big screen, and it promises to be one of the truly epic and consequential pop-cultural events of our time when it hits theaters,” said Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.

Speaking about its storyline, the final of Demon Slayer Season 4 saw Muzan make a stunning entry into the Ubuyashiki mansion. Following this, while Hashiras Training Arc remains a bit “calm before the storm,” the Infinity Castle will set the stage for the final confrontation between the Demon Slayers and Muzan’s forces.

Demon Slayer Season 4 Ending Explained

Season 4 focused on the rigorous training of Tanjiro and his friends as a part of their preparation to face the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji. Later in the finale, as Muzan enters Ubuyashiki’s house, all the Hashiras run, only to find the house explode. When the Demon King gets injured, he later gets regenerated. As all the Hashiras start attacking Muzan with their styles, the latter sends them to the Infinity Castle. The episode ends with Tanjiro telling Muzan that he will kill him.

Based on Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has become a global sensation since its debut in 2018. The story originally began with the story of Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by Muzan. To avenge his family and help his demon-turned-sister, Nezuko, go back to being human, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps.
