Liam Payne, the beloved former One Direction member, tragically passed away on October 16, 2024, in Buenos Aires. The 31-year-old star fell from a third-floor balcony at a hotel, suffering severe internal and external injuries. Payne was reportedly in Argentina preparing for new projects after overcoming several health issues earlier in the year. His death shocked fans worldwide, who were eagerly awaiting his musical comeback. Liam’s fellow One Direction member Harry Styles took to Instagram to mourn his death.

Calling Lian “incredibly loving”, he wrote, “I am truly devastated by Liam’s passing. His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it. Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was infectious. He was warm, supportive, and incredibly loving. The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life. I will miss him always, my lovely friend. My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear, and all those around the world who knew and loved him, as I did. – Harry (sic).”

Earlier, Harry Styles’ mother Anna Twist had reacted to his death. Taking to Instagram, she shared a post and mourned his death. In the post, Harry’s mother shared a picture of a broken heart along with the words, “Just a boy … ”

TMZ reported that Liam Payne fell off his hotel room, which was situated on the third floor. The publication also shed light on the events that panned out hours before his death. According to the international publication, Liam Payne was acting ‘erratic’ at the hotel he was staying at. The report claimed that a little over 5 PM local time, he was spotted in the hotel lobby and behaving ‘erratic.’ The report added that he ‘smashed his laptop’ and was ‘carried back to his room.’
