Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are now defying divorce speculations as they were recently spotted together at the basketball match of Ben Affleck’s son Samuel. The two arrived at the match venue in Santa Monica California and were joined by Ben Affleck’s mother Christine Boldt. Even though the couple arrived separately, their presence together has put a pause on the separation rumours that started circulating back in May. Entertainment outlet Just Jared shared the photos from the star couple’s arrival at the local YMCA venue. Jennifer Lopez was wearing a black full-sleeve top with blue jeans while Ben Affleck wore blue jeans, a faded red shirt, and a matching jacket. These photos were taken on June 2, Sunday.
These photos prompted many to once again root for the couple. According to Just Jared, earlier in the day, Jennifer Lopez was seen at a farmer’s market with her teen daughter Emme, this perhaps explains why Ben Affleck and her arrived separately.
This is not the first time that the couple have been seen together at family events ever since their separation rumours started. On May 30, they attended Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet‘s high school graduation. They were joined by Violet’s mom and Ben Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have had a long winding love story. The two first met on the set of the movie Gigli, but at the time Jennifer Lopez was married to Cris Judd. After they got divorced in 2003, Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Lopez with the famous 6-carat pink diamond ring. Once they made the relationship public, they were dubbed “Bennifer” by the media. Strangely, they broke up within a year. Jennifer Lopez married Marc Anthony in June 2004. Together they had two kids and divorced in 2014. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner got married in October 2005 and divorced in 2018. They have three kids.
In 2021, it was reported that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have rekindled their romance. They got married in July 2022 in a small ceremony. Their separation rumours were strengthened when Jennifer Lopez was seen attending the 2024 Met Gala alone. Last Friday, on May 31, Jennifer Lopez announced that she cancelled her upcoming This Is Me…Now Tour to spend more time with her family.
