An old photo of Sushant Singh Rajput has resurfaced on social media, which has left everyone emotional and teary-eyed. In the viral picture, the late actor is seen playing with Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s daughter Ziva. Sushant is all smiles as he enjoys some quality time with Ziva, who is sitting on her father Dhoni’s lap.
Sushant Singh Rajput played the role of Dhoni in the latter’s biopic, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. Released in 2016, the film also starred Kiara Advani and Disha Patani in the lead and was widely loved by all.
Soon after the picture was shared online, several social media users reacted to it to remember SSR. “Legends are never die,” one of the fans wrote. “Miss you ❤️bhai,” added another. “I miss u shushant Singh rajput ,” a third comment read. Several others also dropped red-heart emojis in the comments section.
Sushant was then found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020. While some suspected to be a case of death by suicide, others had alleged foul play. Following his death, it was reported that Dhoni was ‘shattered’. “Mahi bhai was in a shock to hear the news and got shattered,” filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, who directed MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, had said in an interview.
Meanwhile, in March this year, Sushant Singh Rajpur’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti issued a video statement and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the CBI probe regarding her actor-brother’s death. In her statement, Shweta shared that it’s been 45 months since her brother passed away but they still do not have any update from the investigating agency. She argued that Prime Minister Modi’s help will not only fasten the probe but will also provide relief to “howling hearts”.
“Namastey. I am Shweta Singh Kirti. I am Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister. I am recording this message for our Prime Minister Modi ji. I wanted to bring to your attention that this is the 45th month of Bhai’s passing away and we still don’t know any updates on the investigation that is being conducted by the CBI. I would highly request your intervention into the matter because as a family and as a country, we are grappling with so many answered questions in this case,” Shweta Singh Kirti said.
