Sukanya is one of the most popular actresses who ruled the South Film industry in the 90s. She predominantly worked in Tamil and Malayalam movies and has featured in a handful of Kannada and Telugu projects as well. Apart from being a stellar actress, she also won hearts with her graceful dance skills and soulful voice. Now, the actress is all set to make a comeback, but on the small screen with the serial Shakthi IPS. Recently, in an interview, she spoke about actor Goundamani, which has become the buzz of the town.
Actress Sukanya appeared in an interview where she spoke about a lot of things including actor Goundamani, who has worked with her in many movies. She revealed a secret claiming that “there is no Goundamani sir like one sees in the movies”.
In the interview, Sukanya revealed, “There is no Goundamani Sir like you see in the movies.” She claimed that in the movies, he is seen in a comic role, but in reality, he possesses a lot of knowledge about cinema. She further added that he watches a lot of English movies and talks about English actresses. She said that he has warm behaviour not only with her but with everyone else who acts with him. Sukanya praised Goundamani by saying that he has a lot of talent beyond acting and that he makes everyone laugh during the shoot. She confessed, “I love acting with him.”
Sukanya marked her debut in 1991 with the movie Pudhu Nellu Pudhu Naathu. She later on appeared in movies like Chinna Gounder, Walter Vetrivel, Mahanadhi and many more. She also appeared in the film Indian opposite Kamal Haasan and later, she came to be known as Lady Kamal Haasan. Apart from movies, she was also a household name for her serial Anandam which earned her immense popularity.
Speaking of Goundamani, his real name is Subramaniyan Karuppaiya. He is an Indian actor and prolific comedian who is a popular name in the Tamil industry. He is also known for his comic duo partnership with yet another Tamil actor Senthil. Together, the comic duo left the industry entertained with their roles.
