If recent reports were to be believed, Ranbir Kapoor might undergo special diction and voice training for Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus Ramayana.

Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated film Ramayana has been creating a lot of buzz among audiences. Reports have suggested that Ranbir Kapoor will star as Lord Ram while Sai Pallavi and Yash have been roped in for the role of Sita and Ravana. While we await official details regarding the film, a fresh report claims that Ranbir Kapoor will undergo voice and diction training for the same.

According to a report by India today, Nitesh Tiwari is keen about getting all the details right for Ramayana and hence, the film-maker has created a special team that will supervise dialogues and diction. The report further suggested that Ranbir Kapoor has been spending hours working on the same. The source close to the portal shared, “Ranbir has a certain baritone and a way of speaking his lines. It is symbolic and if you have even closed your eyes, you can recognise a dialogue purely based on Ranbir’s voice. In ‘Ramayana’, Nitesh wants to make sure Ranbir sounds different from the characters he’s played in the past. Being a versatile actor, Ranbir is enjoying this process of trying something new.”

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is said to kickstart the shooting for Ramayana in March this year. Some reports have also claimed that Bobby Deol has been approached to play the character of Kumbhakarna in the Nitesh Tiwari directorial. However, as per the entertainment portal, the actor is not part of the mythological drama.

As per reports, Ramayana will be released in mid-2025 and Ranbir Kapoor will begin filming for the movie on March 20. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the mythological film will also star Arun Govil as Dashrath and Gurfateh Pirzada will be seen playing the character of Lakshman.

Besides this, Ranbir Kapoor also has Animal 2 aka Animal Park in his pipeline. It was recently revealed that while the basic structure of the script for Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is ready, Ranbir is likely to begin shooting for the film in 2025 i.e. after finishing the shooting schedule for Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana.
