The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon end the application form for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) for December 2023. The deadline to apply for eligible candidates is tomorrow, November 30. The link to the NTA CSIR NET 2023 application form is available on the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in. The CSIR NET 2023 exam will be held on December 27, 28, and 29.

How To Apply For CSIR UGC NET 2023?

Step 1: Go to the CSIR UGC NET 2023 official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: On the home page, look for and click on the “CSIR UGC NET” link.

Step 3: Complete the application form as instructed and pay the application fees.

Step 4: Submit the application form for the CSIR UGC NET 2023 December session.

Step 5: Download and save the CSIR NET form for future reference.

CSIR UGC NET 2023: Application Fees

The CSIR NET registration cost is Rs 1,100 for general candidates, Rs 550 for reserved candidates, and Rs 275 for SC and ST candidates. The exam cost must also be paid online through a payment channel utilising debit or credit cards, internet banking, or UPI.

Once the deadline lapses, candidates will have a limited period to make any corrections to their application. From December 2 to 4, 2024, the CSIR NET rectification window will be open. The authorities suggest that the candidate go through the eligibility criteria carefully before applying. To be eligible for application, the candidate must have an MSc or comparable degree (BS-MS, BTech, BPharma) with at least 55 per cent marks in the general category and 50 per cent marks in the reserved category.

The exam will last 180 minutes, or three hours, and will consist of objective-type questions with multiple-choice answers. The CSIR-UGC NET exam will consist of five papers: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The papers can be answered in both English and Hindi.

The National Testing Agency is conducting the CSIR-UGC NET test to assess candidates’ eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor in various universities and colleges in the country.
