Actress Pooja Hegde is currently reeling under the poor performances of her films Radhe Shyam, Beast, Acharya, etc. None of her films have succeeded at the box office and Pooja’s fans opine that poor selection choices have harmed the Beast actress’s career. As of now, there are not many promising prospects left for Pooja in the Telugu film industry. Followers have pointed out that she doesn’t care about the relevance of her character and takes up every film that is offered to her. Several users have opined that these choices would inflict grave harm to the career of the Beast actress’s career.
Amidst these flops, there are reports that Pooja Hegde has replaced Samantha Ruth Prabhu in an upcoming film starring Sidhu Jonnalagadda and director Nandini Reddy. There were reports that Samantha was initially the first choice for this film but she is currently on a sabbatical from movies. Due to this reason, Pooja was considered the perfect fit for this role and reportedly, she also gave her assent to the project. As of now, there are no details regarding the role to be enacted by Pooja in this untitled film.
Despite the setbacks in her acting career of late, Pooja has amassed a massive fan base with her charming presence on the screen. She continues to shine as one of the versatile actresses across films produced in multiple languages, i.e.- Hindi and the South languages. Pooja had interacted with Filmfare in an earlier interview regarding the question of how she balances her work in both industries.
The 33-year-old actress said,” It’s a very rewarding feeling when people know you across the country and sometimes across the world. I guess I made the right choices. As far as balancing is concerned, well, sleep a little less and work a bit harder. I’m constantly learning different languages, memorising lines and emoting in different languages and adapting to the different work cultures and environments!”
Currently, Pooja Hegde looks forward to an interesting lineup of films on the professional front. She will next act in the film Deva directed by Rosshan Andrrews which will be released on the big screens on October 11, 2024. Shahid Kapoor, Kubbra Sait and others will also act in this film.
