Mithra Kurian is popular for appearing in Tamil and Malayalam films. She is known for her role in the film Kaavalan. Thalapathy Vijay and Asin-starrer Kaavalan was a big commercial success, when it was released back in 2011. Mithra Kurian played the role of Asin’s best friend in the film, and created a lot of buzz for her character. She has been away from films and limelight for a long time now. Mithra Kurian has, however, been active on the small screen. According to reports, her latest photos are making rounds on the internet. The viral photos show the actress at a restaurant, looking beautiful in a white kurti, which is paired with jhumkas. She has kept her hair open. Mithra Kurian posted this photo on Instagram in September last year. It resurfaced yet again recently and went viral. She captioned the post, “Allow love into your life to be truly happy and free.”

Mithra Kurian tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, William Francis, in 2015.

Her most successful works include the Malayalam film titled Bodyguard, and its official Tamil remake Kaavalan.

Kaavalan was made under the direction of Siddique and starred actor Vijay and Asin in the lead roles, along with Mithra Kurian and Rajkiran, Roja Selvamani and Vadivelu. Released in 2011, it proved to be a huge success at the box-office. Mithra reprised her role as best friend from the original Malayalam film. Bodyguard was also directed by Siddique, and released in 2010. It starred Dileep, Nayanthara, and Mithra Kurian. The film was also remade in Hindi by Siddique with the same name. It starred Salman Khan, and Kareena Kapoor as the leads, along with Hazel Keech, Raj Babbar and Rajat Rawail.

She was last seen in the Tamil film Nandhanam, which was released in 2019. In 2021, she debuted in television, with the Malayalam show Amma Makal. It is directed by Faisal Adimali, and AM Naseer. The cast of the show includes Mithra Kurian, Mariya Prince, Rajeev Roshan, and Sreejith Vijay.
