Google has released the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1 update for its Pixel line of phones. Nexus devices like the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will also receive the update.
The new firmware update would bring new emojis that reflect the pivotal roles women play in the world, female welders and men getting haircuts for Nexus devices, option to send GIFs directly from the keyboard on supported apps such as Google Allo, Google Messenger and Hangouts and so on.
The update will also bring app shortcuts that could be launched directly from the home screen. The Pixel devices are expected to receive the NMF26O build Android 7.1.1 Nougat software, while the Pixel C will receive the NMF26H build.
According to Google: “Android 7.1.1 is an incremental release that builds on the features already available on Pixel and Pixel XL devices, adding a handful of new features for consumers as well as optimisations and bug fixes on top of the base Android 7.1 platform (API level 25).”
Android 7.1 Nougat exclusively launched on Google's new flagship device, the Google Pixel, in October.

Nexus 6P: (NMF26F – all carriers except Verizon)
Nexus 5X (NMF26F)
Nexus 9 / Nexus 9 LTE (NMF26F)
Nexus 6 (Yet to receive factory images)
