Xiaomi Announces Price Cut on Mi Accessories Due to Revised GST

After reduction of GST (Goods And Service Tax) on certain consumer products, Xiaomi has revised the prices of its accessories, including power bank, charger and USB cables. To make this announcement Xiaomi India VP and Managing Director Manu Jain tweeted on this regard, “In light of recent GST rate cut, we are delighted to pass on the benefit to you on our multiple accessories.”

At the same time, Xiaomi also posted on its community forum that, “GST council announced a GST rate cut and it’s time we pass on the benefits to our beloved Mi Fans. Now you can get your favourite accessory at the price you have been dreaming of.”

Now, due to the reduction of price on Mi products like Mi power bank, 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2 which was earlier available at 1,199 is now available at Rs 1,099 and the 10000mAh Mi Power Bank Pro is available at Rs. 1,499, which was available at 1,599. Apart from power banks, Mi has also reduced prices of various other products like selfie stick, headphones, VR Play 2, Air Purifier and many more. All the Mi accessories with GST rate cuts are available on Mi store for now.

Earlier this week Xiaomi had launched 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i and 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i. Extending its commitment to the Make in India initiative, Mi Power Bank 2i will be assembled at Hipad Technology’s facility in Noida. 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i features a double anodized aluminium design that is lightweight and 14.2mm slim. Boasting up to 85 percent conversion rate, it aims to charge a standard smartphone multiple times, the company claims.
