New Delhi: Xiaomi recently published a teaser post on Weibo about a purported device to be unveiled on July 16 that could be the next flagship Mi smartphone.
While the Chinese smartphone giant’s post doesn’t reveal much except a really slim device shown sideways with the alphabets ‘P’ and ‘K’ on either sides, there have been rumours about a possible successor to its Mi 4 smartphone.
The flagship smartphone, dubbed Mi 5, is expected to come with a 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 820 processor.
Earlier leaks have also indicated that the phone will have a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1440 X 2560 pixels and sport dual rear cameras with LED flash on either ends. The phone could include a 16GB or a 64GB internal storage, and draw its juice from a powerful 3,030mAh battery.
However, some reports have also indicated to a slightly different 5.2-inch screen size and a 20.2 megapixel rear camera instead of a 16 megapixel combined with 6 megapixel front snapper.
The purported Android Lollipop- based smartphone is also expected to include a fingerprint scanner.
