Eggs in Thums Up? This Viral Chocolate Cake Recipe Will 'Crack' Your Taste Buds

As everyone eagerly jumps on the bizarre food trend sweeping the internet like a cringe-inducing storm, it seems to escalate with each passing day, reaching levels that force us to avert our eyes. And just when you thought you’d seen it all, a ‘new’ recipe for making cake at home emerges on social media, but brace yourself for the cringe factor. Why, you ask? Because it involves pouring an egg into Thums Up! Yes, you heard that right. This peculiar cake recipe has gone viral, leaving everyone feeling a bit queasy.

It all starts with a man daringly asking if you’ve ever considered pouring eggs into Thums Up. Well, for most of us, that’s a hard pass! But undeterred, he proceeds to add two whole eggs into a small bottle of the soft drink, giving it a vigorous shake until it transforms into a thick, pale yellow paste. Next, he pours the paste into a juicer mixer jar, along with a Dairy Milk chocolate and a cup of maida. The resulting batter is then poured into a cake mould and topped with more Dairy Milk chocolate pieces.

And now for the Desi baking twist: covering it with aluminium foil, boiling water in a separate pressure cooker, and placing the covered cake mold inside.

Predictably, the video quickly garnered attention, sparking a flurry of reactions from the online community. “I don’t get it, why not put the eggs straight in the blender? Before you answer, I do get it. It gets us all to watch with a slightly frowning face and an open mouth,” quipped one observer. “My soul is in pain!” exclaimed another. “And they ask why heart attack cases are increasing,” remarked a third.

Some couldn’t help but notice the small plastic wrapper that accidentally made its way into the blender, adding another layer of absurdity to the whole ordeal.
