This Chat Between Customer and Blinkit Executive Will Make You ROFL
A Blinkit customer care executive contacted a person facing an issue with his New Year's Eve order, and what happened next will leave you in splits.

As the world bid farewell to 2023 and welcomed the new year, the night of December 31 was ablaze with fireworks, jubilant parties, and joyous celebrations. Millions of people across the globe marked the occasion by spending it with friends and loved ones while most opted to rely on convenient food and grocery delivery apps to ensure their festivities were well-stocked.

In the midst of this global revelry, Zomato-owned platform Blinkit found itself in the spotlight when it shared a comical exchange between a customer and their chat support representative on Sunday. The conversation revolved around a New Year’s party order that took an unexpected turn.

Akash, a customer care executive at Blinkit, reached out to a customer who was experiencing an issue with their New Year’s Eve order. The customer, who had ordered chips and drinks for the festive occasion, was not satisfied with the delivery, prompting Akash to inquire about the nature of the problem.

“Hi, my name is Akash. How can I help you today?” the executive wrote to the customer.

“I ordered chips and drinks for my new years party from your app but something is missing from my order,” the customer replied.

“Can you please tell me what is missing from your order?” Akash asked the customer.

He responded, “Friends to party with,” accompanied by crying face emojis. Not stopping there, they cheekily asked whether the delivery rider could “stay back.”

This amusing exchange, shared by Blinkit on social media, quickly gained attention and resonated with users who appreciated the lighthearted banter. They captioned it, “Akash has left the chat.”

One user commented under the post, “Akash has left the chat to join the party.” https://twitter.com/dasarupkumar/status/1742072154785710445

Meanwhile others said this was “actually sad and depressing.”

Someone commented, “It’s important to stay connected with those who actually love you rather than those who only love your position. Then only you will have friends to party with whenever you need them. Actual socialising is more important than digital socialising.”

Adding to the buzz, Albinder Dhindsa, the CEO of Blinkit, couldn’t resist reposting the conversation. “Guys please stop doing this,” he wrote with a laughing emoji.

Albinder Dhindsa also shared some exciting news on December 31. By 5:15 PM, they had already beaten the total orders from the previous New Year’s Eve. Blinkit also experienced its busiest day ever, with the most orders in a single day and the highest number of orders per minute. In another post, Dhindsa revealed that the biggest party order Blinkit received that day came from Lucknow.
