Watch: Man Breaks Glass Door After Ticketless Passengers Block His Reserved Seat

The Indian Railways has come under intense public scrutiny yet again, and the reason, as you might have guessed, is the recurring problem of ticketless passengers. A video that has recently surfaced online shows the challenges faced by passengers with reserved seats when confronted by a classic crowd of ticketless travelers. In the clip, a group of alleged ticketless passengers is seen obstructing the entryway, preventing a passenger with a valid ticket from boarding the train. This confrontation escalates, with the man outside the train eventually resorting to a violent action out of sheer frustration. With no means left, the man with the reserved seat reportedly breaks the train’s door glass.

The incident, captured on camera and shared online, quickly went viral. The exact date and location remain unconfirmed. Despite this, online users have overwhelmingly supported the man who wasn’t allowed to enter, criticising the authorities for their perceived lack of control over such incidents.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (Formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Kalesh between passengers in Indian railway over man with reserved seat breaking glass after passengers without tickets did not let him board the 3rd AC.”

The chaotic video quickly went viral, garnering a strong reaction from viewers. Many expressed sympathy for the man’s plight, while others criticised the Indian Railways for what they perceived as a laid-back approach to such issues, which are reportedly on the rise. The post, which was shared yesterday, has already amassed over 1.5 million views.

Commenting on the video, many expressed their frustration. “AC3 in general these days, AC2 what used to be AC-3. If you can, please avoid railways and drive yourself. It’s not about the government; it’s actually about the paying capacity of people and the kind of people who get to travel in these classes. Call me elitist, it’s okay. I gave up on railways way back, I drive,” said a user.

“Bilkul sahi kiya (He did the right thing). Indian Railways have become pathetic these days,” added another. “A 3 tier AC coach is just a general coach with AC. This should be stopped,” read another person’s comment. “100s of such videos are posted daily. Show me a single person who seems satisfied by the service of railways,” added another.
