Officials found out that the company he mentioned existed in Tokyo, but not in Taured. Similarly, the hotel he mentioned did exist but hotel employees informed them that no such booking was made.

The officers at the airport became suspicious and arrested him for investigation. He was kept in a hotel overnight under the security of two guards. The next morning when the officers went to his room, the man was nowhere to be found. There was no trace of him there. There were no documents left and no proof of his escape.
