New Delhi: Good news for music lovers. Bose Corporation, which deals with audio technologies, planning to cut its music system prices in India.

The business house open its first outlet in Kolkata after seven years of retail sales in India.

The Bose Experience Outlet in Kolkata will offer products for the home segment.

This new outlet is aimed at extending the Bose Experience to consumers in Kolkata, which is a high-potential market.

Bose is also planning to lower its prices range of home entertainment and stereo speaker systems.

The company wants to open as many as three to four outlets in Kolkata in less than a year-and-a-half.

Talking about the price reduction and expansion of its business in India, Ratish Pandey, general manager, Bose Corporation said, “Yes, of course over time we will reduce the price because customs duty have been going down. Our volumes have been going up. So we are generating cost-benefits on account of better efficiencies in our business and duty drops”.

In recent past, Bose cut the price of its home entertainment system by as much as 25,000 rupees.

The current price of the home entertainment system is 65,000 rupees, and there are many more models that are likely to get cheaper.

In India, Bose has been experiencing close over 60 per cent growth year on year for the last three years.

The $1.7 billion dollar company hopes price-cut coupled with rapid expansion of its chain of outlets is going to bring it closer to the heart of music lovers across the country.
