It seems impossible to keep Brett Lee away from music. The former Australian pacer was known for spitting fire on the field with fearsome deliveries during his playing days. But when having a guitar in his hands, Lee is completely a different person. The 47-year-old is currently in India to serve commentary duties for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite having a tight schedule, Lee could not restrain when he found a grand piano in his hotel lobby. In a video shared by Lee on Instagram, the World Cup-winning cricketer can be seen showcasing his piano skills.
Demonstrating his love for music, Brett Lee wrote in the caption, “Sometimes when you see a piano, you just gotta play it. A bit of downtime in the middle of all the exciting cricket going on.”

Brett Lee developed his interest in music when he was actively involved in professional cricket. He first penned a song during the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy, which was hosted in India. Lee later collaborated with legendary singer Asha Bhosle to record the track You’re the One for Me. The composition was a massive hit both in India and Australia.
In 2017, Brett Lee made his debut as an actor, featuring in a Bollywood movie named UnIndian. Indian actress Tannishtha Chatterjee was part of the romantic comedy, which was directed by Anupam Sharma.
As far as Brett Lee’s cricket career is concerned, the Australian legend has played 221 ODIs and 76 Tests and picked 380 and 310 wickets in the respective formats. He also represented his country in 25 T20Is and was the first bowler to claim a hat-trick in the shortest format. Lee was part of the Australian squad that won the 2003 ICC ODI World Cup under the captaincy of Ricky Ponting. After retiring from international cricket in 2012, Lee shifted his focus to commentary besides continuing his music career.
Brett Lee is not a new name in the IPL circuit. The legendary fast bowler competed in the franchise tournament for six seasons since the inaugural edition in 2008. Having represented Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and Kolkata Knight Riders, Lee has picked up a total of 124 wickets in 38 IPL appearances. He was also appointed as KKR’s bowling mentor in 2013.
