The Shiv Nadar University (SNU), Chennai has commenced the online application process for undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates who are interested in enrolling in undergraduate programmes at the varsity must appear for the Shiv Nadar University Common Entrance Examination (SNUCEE) 2024. However, candidates with 90 percentile and above in the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main) can apply for admissions directly without the SNUCEE exam. The last date to register for the SNUCEE 2024 at snuadmissions.com exam is April 3.
SNUCEE 2024: Selection Process
Interested candidates must appear for the Shiv Nadar University Common Entrance Examination. After registering, students can choose between two dates for the entrance exam. The candidates are limited to one slot each. The first and second exams will be scheduled on the specified date.
A panel of experts will interview shortlisted candidates based on the entrance exam. The interview schedules will be communicated to the candidates via mail or phone. After the interview, a merit list will be released. Final admission will depend on the candidate meeting all eligibility requirements at the time of admission.
SNUCEE 2024: Exam Pattern
The Shiv Nadar University Common Entrance Examination, which is computer-based and offline, will be available across the country. International students can also take the exam at their centre in Dubai. According to the press release, the university offers six specialised undergraduate programmes, including engineering, commerce, and economics.
The SNUCEE examination will be divided into two sections: aptitude and domain knowledge. The entrance exam will be for two hours. The assessment will include both aptitude (45 minutes) and domain knowledge (75 minutes). The question paper will be objective type with multiple choice questions (MCQ).
SNUCEE 2024: Application Fee
Those applying for the Shiv Nadar University Common Entrance Examination will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,500, which is non-refundable.
SNUCEE 2024: Eligibility Criteria
–– Students who have completed or appeared in their Class 12 board exams are eligible to apply.
–– For Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are mandatory subjects.
–– For B.Com. (Professional Accounting): Accountancy and Commerce are mandatory subjects.
–– For B.Com. / B.Com. (Hons): Accountancy and Commerce are mandatory subjects; additionally, Business Mathematics, Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science as one of the subjects is preferred.
–– Meanwhile, students from Commerce, Arts, and Sciences can pursue B.Com. (Professional Accounting) or B.Sc. Economics (Data Science).
