London: Chelsea will begin their English Premier League defense against Swansea, while Manchester United host Tottenham on the opening weekend in August.
The fixtures for the 2015-16 campaign were released on Wednesday, less than a month after Chelsea collected the league trophy.
Chelsea, who are at home on the weekend of Aug. 8-9, routed Swansea 5-0 in their last meeting in January. But on the second weekend, Jose Mourinho's side travels to Manchester City, who finished second last month after being deposed as champion by Chelsea.
City start at West Bromwich Albion.
At United, Louis van Gaal is trying to deliver the team's first title since 2013 under Alex Ferguson. After hosting Tottenham in their first match, United play Aston Villa, Newcastle, Swansea, then Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sept. 12.
Liverpool have an immediate chance to avenge a 6-1 loss at Stoke on the final day of last season, after being selected to go back to the stadium to start the new campaign.
Slaven Bilic's first match as West Ham manager will be at Arsenal, who finished third last season, while new Newcastle manager Steve McClaren opens against Southampton.
Bournemouth starts their first-ever topflight campaign with a home match against Aston Villa. Fellow newcomer Watford are at Everton, and playoff winner Norwich host Crystal Palace.
