KOCHI: The NIA Special Court on Wednesday dismissed the bail pleas of two accused in the Kashmir recruitment case. Judge S Vijayakumar dismissed the bail applications of twelfth accused Firoz and fourteenth accused Muhammad  Navaz.   “The offenses included are so grave as to affect the sovereignty, security and integrity of the nation,” the court observed. The trial of the case  will begin in January next year.  NIA had filed charge sheet against 24 accused, including a Pakistani national Wali, related to the enrolment of several youths from Kerala for anti-national activities. The accused have been charged with anti-national activities and waging war against the nation.  Wali, the main link between the LeT and the Keralites, has been absconding, while four fromKerala, died in an encounter with security forces in 2008, the charge sheet said.
