BJP plea to CM on Adoni arson

HYDERABAD: The BJP has urged the state Government to order a thorough inquiry into the Adoni violence and to take steps to prevent such incidents elsewhere in the state, including the capital.A delegation comprising state unit president G Kishan Reddy, former Union ministers B.Dattatraya and Ch Vidyasagar Rao and others submitted a memorandum to this effect to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in his chamber at the Secretariat on Thursday.The party demanded that Ganesh processions be not barred from wending their way through certain places just because shrines of some other community are situated there and urged the chief minister to provide protection to the processions wherever organised in the state.It also demanded the arrest of Majlis and People’s Front leaders for “instigating’’ the youth in Adoni to throw stones on the Ganesh procession and action against police officers for remaining silent spectators
