China and Pakistan have jointly developed the JF-17 Thunder aircraft, an advanced multi-role Light Combat Aircraft.

The China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC) said in Beijing that the two jets have arrived in Pakistan for further flight tests and evaluation by the Pakistan Air Force.

The arrival ceremony of the aircraft was held at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra on March 12, CATIC said.

Fourth prototype of JF-17 Thunder aircraft, equipped with exclusive avionics and weapons qualification systems, completed its first test flight in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province in last May.

The first prototype made its first test flight in 2003.

The aircraft will make its debut in Islamabad on March 23, Xinhua news agency reported.

The flight evaluation will be aimed at improving the performance of aircraft and making the JF-17 aircraft more competitive and reliable.
