THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dastkar Andhra Marketing Association, a non-profit organisation working to promote the cotton handloom industry, is organising an exhibition and sale of festive environment friendly cotton hand woven saris, yardage  and dupattas from Andhra Pradesh. The exhibition, that began on Saturday will be on till December 19 at Hotel Sea Face, Kovalam. The products on display include cotton and  khadi textures in vibrant hues of azo free chemical dyes along with warm shades of natural dyes and earthy tones of kalamkari prints.The natural dye range include traditional vat indigo and natural dyed plain, stripes, checked material, kalamkari prints on kora and dupattas. The azo free chemical dye range include dress material with zari & thread borders and new textures in double counts.Zari and thread border sarees in fine and medium counts from the strongholds of Andhra’s weaving centres and Kalamkari and natural dyed Khadi sarees will be the other highlights of the exhibition.
