KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Wednesday adjourned to August 26 the contempt of court proceedings initiated against CPM leader M V Jayarajan for further trial. The court recorded the depositions made by media persons, including editor of Mathrubhumi daily M Kesava Menon and three others.“The remarks on court and judges by Jayarajan during his speech seemed to be critical and contemptuous,” Kesava Menon submitted before the court. Mangalam daily reporter K Sujith deposed before the court , “I was present at the function held in Kannur and reported the controversial speech by Jayarajan. What I reported and carried in my newspaper were true and based on facts.”The court will try the reporters of news channels Indiavision and Asianet News on Friday.
