New Delhi: Two days after bike-borne terrorists carried out a bomb blast in an Israeli embassy car in New Delhi, an Israeli forensic team on Wednesday reached the national capital to help in the probe.
The team of Israeli officials examined the Innova car at the Delhi Police's special cell office.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police is verifying an abandoned red motorcycle which was found in the Lado Sarai area of south Delhi earlier on Wednesday morning. The police suspect that it might be the same bike that was used for carrying out the attack.
The police suspect that around 300 gm of explosives could have been used by the terrorists to carry out the attack.
The forensic report has also been submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs and another copy is being sent to the Delhi Police special cell. However, details are still awaited.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police tightened the security of Israeli embassy staff in the national capital.
All embassy employees will now be given Delhi Police commandos in place of plain-clothed security personnel and escort cars will also be provided to some embassy employees.
The movement of all staff to the airport and embassy will be decided in advance, and the embassy has been advised to not park cars in the open.
The driver of the Innova was, meanwhile, released from the hospital and will be questioned along with the diplomat's wife. Police believe there is a high possibility of the attack being overseen by a foreign terror network carried out with local support.
