HYDERABAD: Apprehending threat to his life from TDP and Congress leaders, vice-president of Jagathi Publications V Vijay Sai Reddy on Tuesday asked the police to provide him protection.Vijaya Sai Reddy, who is named as ‘Accused No 2’ in the Congress MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets case, made a representation to the additional director general of police (intelligence) M Mahender Reddy on Tuesday regarding threat to his life. In the representation faxed to media offices, Vijay Sai Reddy said he may have a threat from Congress and TDP leaders who are bent on damaging the image of former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Jagan.Vijay Sai Reddy said that the criminal elements in Congress and TDP have been hatching a conspiracy to harm and throw the blame on Jagan for political gains.“After the CBI had registered a case on August 17, TDP MLA P Keshav made serious allegations against Jagan Mohan Reddy and projected as if I am the key person in the investigation. Reports have also been published in a section of the media that I am the brain behind the scam,” he said. Further, he said that a vernacular daily published an article recently casting aspersions on Jagan and a few other corporate companies.
