New Delhi: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Democratic) president and former Chief Minsiter of Jharkhand Babulal Marandi’s bodyguard beat up a photographer of a local Hindi daily in Jamshedpur on Monday.
The photographer was beaten up with the butt of the bodyguard’s rifle at Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur where the body of the slain JMM MP Sunil Mahto was kept
Marandi’s security also roughed up other members of the media when they were clicking pictures of the former CM.
The incident took place when Marandi went to pay tributes to Mahto. Later he tendered an apology following the offensive behaviour of his bodyguard.
But the agitated photographers staged a dharna before the morgue, demanding an apology from the culprit himself.
The photographers however, withdrew dharna after the guilty security man apologised.
