The Mumbai Traffic Police have issued a crucial advisory for city commuters, warning of significant traffic disruptions around the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) due to Global Fintech Fest 2024 being held at the Jio World Convention Centre.
The high-profile event, scheduled from August 28 to August 30, is anticipated to draw substantial crowds, generating heavy vehicular movement in the area.
Traffic authorities have advised that from 9 am to 8 pm till August 30, BKC will experience increased congestion, which may lead to prolonged travel times for those passing through the area. In light of this, commuters are urged to avoid the BKC thoroughfare during these hours.

Authorities are working diligently to manage the flow of traffic and minimize disruptions. However, travellers are advised to plan their journeys in advance, allowing extra time for their commutes or considering public transportation options where possible.
Earlier today, the traffic police urged commuters to use alternate routes via SCLR & Eastern Freeway due to heavy traffic on Eastern Express Highway.

On Tuesday, ‘Dahi Handi’ celebrations caused traffic snarls in many areas of the city as Dahi Handis were hung at prominent intersections and junctions, and haphazardly parked two-wheelers and other vehicles belonging to Govinda groups added to the woes.
