In a strange twist in the civilian killings in Sopore in Jammu & Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir police have allegedly put the photograph of a local shopkeeper in a public notice on the suspect.
According to The Indian Express, a shopkeeper in Kupwara has accused the state police of using his picture in a public notice about a wanted terrorist.
Police believe that top Hizbul commander Abdul Qayoom Najar is behind the mysterious killing of six civilians over the past one month in Sopore.
The shopkeeper approached the police with photographs of himself, which he claims were used in the wanted posters. Reacting to the development, police have said that the shopkeeper is a lookalike of the wanted terrorist.
