New Delhi: Team India's performance ahead of the World Cup has dipped drastically, and Baba Ramdev suggests the injury-prone players to practise yoga to improve their showing.
Yoga exercises will enable the players to keep them relaxed and their performances can be more consistent with the help of the ancient practice, the yoga exponent said in Allahabad on Wednesday.
"If a batsman does well in a few matches and then is out on the first ball in the next match, it may be a case of stress and lapse in concentration," Ramdev said.
"Yoga will certainly help a batsman by making him more relaxed and yet more focused," he said.
The yoga guru is even ready to take up a role with the BCCI for the Indian team with the consent of the Board.
Ramdev's comments come after Munaf Patel was injured in the tour of South africa over a month ago and his retention in the team was heavily critised.
Sachin Tendulkar, too, has pulled a hamstring and missed out playing Mumbai's Ranji Trophy tie against Maharashtra after the conclusion of the Proteas tour.
