ADILABAD: “Formation of a Telangana state is inevitable.If not today it will come into being tomorrow and it is time the Congress recognised the need for it,” said BJP senior leader LK Advani.He demanded that the Centre introduce a bill for carving out a separate Telangana state in the ensuing winter session of Parliament.All the 116 Lok Sabha members and 50 Rajya Sabha members of the National Democratic Alliance led by the BJP will vote in support of the separate state to fulfil the longpending wish of the people in the region, he added.Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra, which entered the state at Penganga bridge in Adilabad district from Maharahstra on Tuesday, was accorded a rousing reception. Addressing a huge gathering at the Telangana Chowk in Adilabad town, Advani lambasted the Centre for not delivering Telangana state despite hundreds of Telangana youth committing suicides for the cause.Stating that Telangana people were meted out injustice in the united state, Advani accused the Centre of backtracking from its promise on December 9, 2009. The committees constituted by the Congress government were only to delay the formation of a Telangana state, he said.The BJP senior leader slammed the UPA government for its inaction on slush funds. He said about Rs 2.5 lakh crore of black money was stashed away in foreign bank accounts which should be recovered and used for development of the poor and the needy.He demanded that the State government take immediate measures to prevent farmers’ suicides in Andhra Pradesh. He later addresssed public gatherings at Itchoda and Nirmal in Adilabad district and a public meeting in Nizamabad town. BJP general secretary Ananth Kumar, senior leaders Ravi Shanker Prasad and Pratibha Advani, BJP state president G Kishan Reddy, senior leaders B Dattatreya and Ch Vidyasagar Rao were among those present.
