East Coast Communications unveiled the title look poster for the upcoming film Chithini by East Coast Vijayan on December 23. Actor Suresh Gopi has shared the poster on his official social media page.
The caption of the post reads, “After Kallanum Bhagavathiyum, proudly unveiling the TITLE LOOK POSTER of our upcoming movie CHITHINI”. Several social media users have commented on the poster. One user wrote, “All the best sir”. Another filled in the comment section with heart emojis.

Bengali actress Mokksha, known for her debut in Malayalam with East Coast Vijayan’s fantasy comedy Kallanum Bhagavathyum, assumes the female lead in this family entertainer. Vinay Fort and Amith Chakkalakkal will have significant roles in the film, alongside debutants Arathi Nair and Enakshi.
In collaboration with East Coast Vijayan, K V Anil has penned the screenplay and dialogue for the upcoming film. Producers have officially confirmed that the movie is set for a simultaneous release in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu. It has been revealed that Chithini, the seventh production from East Coast, will include horror sequences besides emotional drama sequences.
The supporting cast of the film entails Johnny Antony, Joy Mathew, Sudheesh, Srikanth Murali, Jayakrishnan, Manikandan Achary, Sujith Shankar, Pramod Veliyanadu, Rajesh Sharma, Unni Raja, Anoop Sivasevan, and Kootikal Jayachandran.
Ratheesh Ram will be in charge of cinematography, with John Kutty serving as the editor for this film. The musical composition for the songs will be done by Ranjin Raj. Dhanya Balakrishnan is the costume designer with art direction handled by Sujith Raghav.
The shooting of the film started in January in Palakkad and surrounding areas. No information has been disclosed about the film’s theatrical release or OTT release.
Kallanum Bhagavathiyum, featuring Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Anusree, Mokksha, and Salim Kumar, hit the screens in March this year. Adapted from K V Anil’s novel of the same title, the film centres around the events unfolding after Mathappan Unni, a thief, pilfers an idol of Bhagwati from a forested cave temple.
For over two decades, East Coast Vijayan has been a familiar figure among Malayali audiences, recognised for his music albums. Besides his musical contributions, he has directed films like Novel, starring Jayaram, and Mohabbath, featuring Meera Jasmine.
Meanwhile, Mokksha is best known for films including Karma, Switzerland, Filter Coffee Liquor Cha, and Neethone Nenu.
